Surah An-Nas
Humankind • Surah 114 • 6 verses
Introduction
Like the previous chapter, this Medinian chapter is a supplication against the evil of humans and jinn. This final chapter emphasizes the fact that Allah is the Lord and Master of all and that He is the only One to be called upon for help, which connects full circle with the central theme of the first chapter of the Quran.
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind,
the Master of humankind,
the Allah of humankind,
from the evil of the lurking whisperer—
who whispers into the hearts of humankind—
from among jinn and humankind.”
